Interview Preparation Techniques |
'Fail to prepare - prepare to fail'.
Below are some guidelines that you may find
useful in preparing for your interview. Good preparation
will not only give you increased confidence, but will be recognised
by the company who will view you in a more positive light.
Let's face it with the amount of information available on the
web, preparation is a straightforward task. In addition, you
could use your contacts to find
out more about the company culture, and try to speak to an existing
or past employee. Perhaps try and
find out what the company's mission statement is.
Research should have increased your interest level and your
enthusiasm will be conveyed to the interviewer.

During the recruitment process you will
be judged every step of the way. Everything
you do and say will form part of the
employer's decision making process.
Also, first impressions really do count. If you get this right
at the start of the interview process,
and build a rapport, you will create a solid foundation towards getting an offer.
An interview is a two-way process. Appropriately well thought
out, structured questions are a good way to qualify whether you
want to work for the company or not.
In our experience and from client feedback, the most successful
candidates arrive prepared, with an agenda and have formulated
structured, stimulating questions. Some candidates are known to
have their agenda in written format as a useful reminder.
Maximising your chance of career success is very much our aim, and the Recruiters at Mayfield Curzon will assist you in any and
every way they can.
